May Day tournament
Each year Republica host a ‘Mayday’ tournament of fun and football, getting together like-minded teams from across Leeds and the UK.
This tournament was a traditional feature in the Republica calendar of old. It was reintroduced in 2018 to commemorate the loss of Bod, an old Republica player who sadly passed away the year before. Since then, we have continued the tradition. Each year we put on a celebration and memorial tournament, and raise money for local mental health charities Andy’s Man Club and Leeds Survivor Led Crisis.
